The Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) Consortium recently published their final set of studies after concluding 10 years of research. The goal of GTEx is to “increase our understanding of how changes in our genes contribute to common human diseases, in order to improve health care for future generations.” Throughout their research, GTEx utilized the PAXgene Tissue System for the collection of tissue samples and isolation of nucleic acids.
